We know your time is precious; that’s why we compiled a short list of Frequently Asked Questions and Helpful Links to give you some fast facts about insurance.

What coverage limit should I have on my home?
For a dwelling, the coverage limit should be the amount it would cost to rebuild the structure. For an apartment, co-op or condominium, the coverage amount should be sufficient to recover your personal property (furniture, area rugs, clothing, kitchenware, etc.) and improvements or betterments you've made to the inside of your unit.

Do I need separate coverage for my valuables?
Depending upon the amount of coverage provided by your homeowner's policy and applicable restrictions, you may want to purchase supplemental coverage for your valuable items. By scheduling your valuables individually, you’ll know exactly what you will receive if the item is lost, destroyed or stolen, and no deductible applies.

How much liability coverage do I need?
As a general rule, we suggest carrying a limit which is adequate to protect your personal assets. What appears to be a minor fender bender or a slight slip and fall injury can turn into a major lawsuit. Your best line of defense can be your liability coverage.

What deductible should I carry?
This is all a matter of personal preference. We recommend that our clients carry the highest deductible they can afford. When we quote you coverage options, we will provide several deductible alternatives for comparison and consideration.

I don't live near the ocean. Why do I need flood insurance?
Flood damage is not covered by most homeowner's policies. According to The National Flood Insurance Plan (NFIP) 90% of all natural disasters in this country involve flooding. Many of these incidents occur in areas which are designated as low-risk for floods. Small creeks and surface water runoff have been sources of many devastating floods.
